Emoji reactions don't load/display accurately/reliably

Sometimes in testing I can add a bunch of reactions to a post, but then when I close the app and re-start they are gone.

Also, sometimes it looks like they are there initially, but then almost immediately they go away. Maybe this is because the Timeline calls loadReactions() on the message when it appears? But then what is loadReactions() doing that is so wrong???
